CONSOL Energy, a publicly owned producer and exporter of high-BTU bituminous thermal coal, is a leading energy company in the United States. The company is expanding in the Mountain State and plans on opening a new coal mine in Wyoming County, West Virginia. The mine, which will produce low vol metallurgical coal is expected to begin operations by 2021.
