CHARLESTON, WV – Today, Gov. Jim Justice released an additional two Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) grants for community outdoor recreation development and open space preservation in Ritchie and Wood Counties. The LWCF program is housed within the Community Advancement and Development Division of the West Virginia Department of Economic Development.
The projects awarded include:

City of Pennsboro: The $60,000 grant award will provide necessary repairs and improvements to the city’s historic Myles Stadium. This grant will upgrade dugouts and bleachers, improve ADA accessibility and resurface and add new fencing to the park’s tennis courts.

City of Parkersburg: The $100,000 grant award will support the installation of the Juleps Accessible Pathway Playground in the Parkersburg City Park, the oldest park in Wood County.
